For full details, please check the Pitch Hit & Run section of this website, or the official Pitch Hit & Run website (new window).

Pitch: Participants will be given 6 opportunities to hit a standard MLB strike zone from 45 feet (baseball) or 35 feet (softball). Any pitch that touches any part of the strike zone will be awarded points.

Hit: Participants will be given 3 opportunities to hit a ball as far and as straight as possible. Only their best attempt will be recorded and swings and misses will be counted as a “try”.

Run: Participants will run 120 feet from second base to home with one turn around third base to home. They will have one opportunity to run as fast as possible. A coach with a stopwatch will start timing when the participant leaves second base and stop when the participant touches home plate. Participants must touch third base for their time to count.
